New leadership for 2025!!
Who are we and what do we do?
The leadership of Hackerspace is responsible for managing the workshop and serving as the main point of contact with our primary sponsors, IDI and NEXUS. Our duties also include planning and reserving rooms for events, encouraging connections and collaboration among our members. We’re especially good at annoying our members with pings in our slack-channel, and we regularly hold board meetings where members of hackerspace can bring their opinions to the board. That’s what it means to be in the leadership! Now, who are we?
Leader - Sivert Underdal
Hi there! My name is Sivert and I’m the leader of hackerspace for 2025. I’m a seconds year currently taking a bachelor’s degree in informatics. I joined hackerspace around january 2024 to try out an interest I never knew I had: Breadboards! When I joined, I started out as the deputy leader of Project: Breadboard Computer with zero experience working with electricity, chips and wires. One year later and I now know how to build a makeshift CPU with them! Now I want to give that same experience to new members by building upon the culture and community we have at Hackerspace as of right now.
Deputy Leader - Ann-Marie Revillard
Hi hi, my name is Ann-Marie and I’m the new deputy leader in 2025. I joined Hackerspace in the middle of the fall semester 2024 in DevOps and have been involved there whenever I haven’t been too busy with other commitments (like the revue, hehe). As deputy leader, I’ve now taken part in several meetings with the rest of the board. I help out wherever I can and take on tasks I believe are important. I’m looking forward to further developing Hackerspace and the interest in being a part of our community.
Head of Economy- Christopher Braathen
My name is Christopher and I am the head of economy. I started studying Informatics in 2022 and became a member of Hackerspace in the fall of 2023. I joined Project: Game Dev in 2023. Later, in the fall of 2024, I became the leader of Project: Game Dev, and during the general assembly in 2025, I ran for the position of head of economy. As head of economy, I am responsible for sending and picking up orders to and from IDI. I am also responsible for setting up the budget for Hackerspace.
What are our goals for the next semester?
One of our main priorities for the next semester is recruiting new members. The number of members is slowly diminishing, and somebody gotta do something about it! We need inspired and motivated students who have great ideas that they want to realize. The community is what makes Hackerspace what it is today, and we’re all for keeping it the way it is! Look out for our stands this coming semester, cause there’s gonna be a lot of them!
We are of course also going to do all the usual nagging and complaining to our members about deadlines and posting articles and signig up for workshop shifts, because if we don’t, who will?
If we’re lucky we might be migrating over to Matrix next semester as well! DevOps have been teasing that they’re almost done with the setup, although they have a few things to fix before we are ready to migrate. So look forward to that!
In the name of the Terje, the Workshop, and the Holy Banner, this has been
